After, much encouragement from family and friends, I have decided to keep a blog to chronicle my journeys. I will try to update on a fairly regular basis. So everyone back home can keep up with me.

Ugly villa, Cappuccinos, and the gallery of selfies......part uno

Salido da Italia (Greetings from Italy) sorry about not posting in a while. These past few days has been fast paced. So in order to cover everything properly I am going to break this into two post.  The villa I am currently staying at is called "Villa Il Palazzaccio" which translated means the ugly Villa. This villa which is in the heart of the Tuscan countryside was built in the 15th century. Its pretty awesome, unfortunately its got basically one classroom so sometimes two classes might be in session at the same time.

After getting settled into my dorm room. The group was taken to a scenic overlook that stands above Florence. The view was incredible, from our spot you could see the entirety of this ancient city. After soaking in the view for a little while and getting some great photos the group was lead on a tour of the city. We saw Palazzo Vecchio ,Old Palace, which at one time was home to the powerful Medici Family , the capital of Italy, and now it serves as a office for some of the city's officials. On this tour we also
visited the square where the Basilica of Saint Mary of the Flower, the most famous cathedral in Florence. Finished our tour with a walk along the Ponte Vecchio which is world renowned for its jewellery shops....Keep an eye out for  Part due (II).
